If a candidate is having trouble with the candidate survey workflow (where you send them all the same link and they enter their email to request their individual survey link), you can create an individual survey link for a candidate. This could be useful if, for example, you’re corresponding with a specific candidate and the automated ElectUp email is going to spam.
Important: Treat these links like passwords. Candidate links allow submitting that candidate’s survey responses with no additional identity verification, so use them carefully and make sure they only go to candidates or their authorized representatives.
Click on a candidate from the main race screen (as if you were going to enter or edit their responses manually) and click the “Survey Link” to the far right of their name:
Candidates must have an email address entered for verification purposes before you’ll see the “Survey Link” button.
Enter the number of hours before the link expires and choose which of the candidates’ email addresses should receive the verification.
Click “Generate Survey Link”, wait until the link loads, and copy it (either with the “copy link” button or by highlighting the entire link in the text box and copying).
Securely send that “magic” link to the candidate. When they click it, they will see their survey and be able to fill it out and submit it.
