Parties can be assigned to candidates in the “Candidates” tab.

To edit that list of parties, click “Manage Parties…” at the bottom of the list. In the dialog that opens, you can add, edit, and delete parties.

Important: Parties apply across the whole election. Any changes you make in this “Manage Parties” dialog (such as editing or deleting parties) will apply to all races – you can easily change or delete parties that are in use in other races.

Manage parties on the election

Another way to manage the list of parties for an election is to navigate to the election and click on the “Parties” tab. This method affects the same list as the popup from the candidate list – just accessed through the election.

Type a party’s name and click “add” to create a new party.

You can also click pencil icon of an next to on existing party to edit it (which will change the display name wherever it has been assigned to a candidate across this election).
